Last year's highest-paid actresses -- Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker, who tied for first with $30 million in annual earnings each in the 2010-2011 rankings -- tumbled this year to fourth place and seventh place, respectively.
According to Forbes -- whose latest list is based on actress' estimated earnings between May 2011 and May 2012 -- Stewart's per-film asking price has reached $12.5 million, not counting profit-sharing incentives. That has helped her leapfrog several other leading ladies this year. Last year, the raven-haired actress -- whose bottom line this year was also helped by her role in this past spring' "Snow White and the Huntsman" -- tied with Julia Roberts for fifth place on the Forbes list, with $20 million in earnings.
The top five on this year's list, in order, are: Stewart ($34.5 million); Cameron Diaz ($34 million); Sandra Bullock ($25 million); Jolie ($20 million); and Charlize Theron, ($18 million).
Numbers six through 10 are held, in order, by Roberts, ($16 million); Parker ($15 million); Meryl Streep ($12 million); Kristen Wiig ($12 million); and Jennifer Aniston ($11 million).
Interesting note: Stewart, at 22 years old, is the youngest actress on the list - by a long shot. The next youngest is former "Saturday Night Live" star Wiig, who is 38 years old, a difference of 16 years.
